Your handy-dandy bathroom cleaning checklist to turn your bath space from grimy to glorious.
Staying on top of cleaning chores can be difficult, especially when you also have other house chores. However, your bathroom deserves a quality deep clean even though it’s not your favorite task. Use this bathroom cleaning checklist as your guide on how to clean each area of your bath space.
Bathroom Cleaning Checklist
Clean the Cabinets: Using a microfiber cloth, lightly dampen it with water and cleaner. Gently wipe your bathroom cabinet from top to bottom. Don’t forget to polish the knobs, as well. Rinse and repeat.
Clean the Medicine Cabinet: Throw away expired medicine and other products. Using an old toothbrush, scrub any dirty spots, then wipe it down with a microfiber cloth with water.
Clean the Tub and Shower: Next on our bathroom cleaning checklist is to clean the tub and shower with cleaner and brush. Spray the tub and shower area with cleaner and scrub the walls and basin in a circular motion from top to bottom. Rinse off the cleaner and wipe it down with a damp cloth.
Clean the Wastebasket: Using an all-purpose cleaner and cloth, spray both the inside and outside of the wastebasket and wipe it down.
Disinfect the Toilet: Toss two antacid tablets into the toilet bowl, and let them dissolve for at least 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, brush stains away with a toilet brush. Scrub the outside of the bowl with a cleaner and scrub pad.
Mop the Floor: Using a sponge and cleaner, starting from the farthest corner of your bathroom, scrub the floor from left to right, working towards the door. Rinse and repeat.
Scrub the Sink: Using a dishwashing liquid or cleaner and damp cloth, wipe the sink and vanity area. Rinse and repeat. Scrub difficult to remove stains with an old toothbrush.
Shine the Mirror: Wipe down your bathroom mirror with a glass cleaner or dip the cloth in dishwashing liquid.
Unclog the Air Vents: Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to unclog your bathroom’s air vents.
Wipe Down the Shower Rods and Rings: Wipe down the shower rods with a damp cloth and dishwashing liquid.
Wipe the Faucet and Fixtures: Clean the faucet and fixtures with a cloth and cleaner.
We know it looks like there’s a lot to check off on the bathroom cleaning checklist, but start with a few tasks each day until you finish every bathroom cleaning task on the checklist!
