Clean the Bookshelves: Start by removing all books, magazines, decor pieces, and storage containers. Dust each item with a microfibre cloth. Wipe the shelves then return the books, decor pieces, and storage containers to their places.

Clean the Curtains or Blinds: Vacuum your blinds on a low setting with a brush attachment. Wipe the blinds with a damp microfiber cloth or replace your dirty curtains with new ones.

Clean the Desk: Remove all items on your desk and wipe the surface and legs with a damp microfiber cloth. Dust off and wipe desk accessories, as well.

Do the Light Fixtures: Dust your ceiling light and table lamp with an extendable duster or a microfiber cloth.

Dust the Computer: Dust your computer screen, CPU, and keyboard with a microfiber cloth. Wipe off the printer and other electronics, such as your computer mouse.

Dust the Surfaces of Filing Cabinets, Tables, and Other Furnishings: Simply use a damp microfiber cloth to clean and wipe surfaces.

Sanitize the Telephone and Remote Controls: Use a disinfecting wipe to sterilize cords, phone keypad, remote control, handset, and other electronics that you usually touch.

Vacuum: Vacuum or mop underneath your desk, bookshelf, cabinets, and spaces where dust gathers.

Vacuum the Desk Chair With a Brush Attachment: Clean your office chair from spills or stains by using a cloth cleaner and toothbrush. Wipe the arms, legs, and wheels of your chair. Use a toothbrush to scrub the wheels.

Wipe the Windows: Spray windows with a cleaning solution (dishwashing liquid and water) and wipe it off with a cloth.

Use this home office cleaning checklist to keep your workspace neat. Plus, it’ll motivate you to work better and put you in a good mood.
