Cass is an interior decorator from Virginia, who excels at creating DIY’s and decorating her home in unique ways, where timeless decor, vibrant colors, and comfort all mix together to create an intriguing and wonderful home. Her huge passion for interior design and love for thrift stores inspires her to combine old decor with new, and traditional style with modern, to create a cozy and aesthetically pleasing home on any budget.

Cass describes herself as an impulsive decorator and fearless DIYer. And we do not doubt that because she’s unafraid to take on any project. She is always looking for ways to improve their family home. From creating her own vintage style terra-cotta pots (which you should definitely check out) to creating her own chic 1930s marble sink stand for only $30. Adding color to her walls and building custom closets and floors are just some of the ways that she has personalized her place.

Part of Cass’s charming modern traditional eclectic home is staying true to her own personal style. She prefers to buy and create home decor that she loves, and that will add character to her home. Unique pieces that she found in flea markets or thrift stores or worked on her own fill her eccentric home, and give a sense of individuality.

Tell us something about your home

My husband and I both grew up and met here. Our families live here, as well. We love this town so much and wanted to plant roots in a place that is special to us.

Our home was really dull when we moved in, but I could see right through it. I am so happy to make all of the architectural details shine!

Tip: Go for a modern traditional eclectic style by mixing white walls with vintage decor, like Cass’s vintage gallery wall, abstract wall art, charming armchair, and wooden coffee table.

Thrift stores!
